Biographical Sketch of
Venus Pineyero de Hoyos
Venus Pineyro de Hoyos is recognized for her work assisting others to improve their businesses through hiring diversity and leadership excellence. She has done this through creating The Inclusion Plus Institute, which is dedicated to helping other organizations increase diversity. Her passion for inspiring other Latinas across the country led her to develop the non-profit organization The Strong Latina Project. She was born in Mexico, and arrived in the United States at age 21 with her mother and five-year-old sister after escaping lifethreatening domestic violence. She spent eighteen years in leadership positions with tech companies prior to establishing The Inclusion Plus Institute. Pineyro de Hoyos’s experience with family violence led her to serve on the Board of Directors of Austin Safe Alliance, which is dedicated to ending violence in all its forms. She has previously been honored for her achievements by TAMACC, Austin Woman Magazine, the Community Advancement Network of Austin, and the Association of Latino Professionals for America.
